Due date on the New Media Class syllabus

11/3 Your international or business website topic is due;
11/17 sketch out the navigation - the website plan and design with at least 500 words of copy and five images due;
12/8 completed website is posted online and presented to the class.

5 to 6 pages of original work must be on a posted web site (100 points)

your website needs to have the following:

• at least 500 words of original text that you create. You need to cite sources if you use anything from a book, article or other website
• lower case, non-spaced, short page names in the Url's
• at least 5-6 linked pages with a navigation system
• at least 5 pictures or graphics for the website
• at least two quotations or statistics with a cited reference
• use a least two tables in the website
• use more Css such as positioning
• use at least one horizontal line in the website
• give your site a title in the head.
• use  at least meta tags for keywords and for description
• use at least 3 external hyperlinks
• the website conveys a style or tone appropriate for the subject and the audience.
• do not violate copyright
• put your name and email address on the site
• use a JavaScript
• Use a form, audio or video on your website

Each webpage needs to have the following:

• a navigation system using image maps or flash buttons on each page
• original content on each page
• grammar and spelling checked
• content  that fits the audience
• effective layout
• pages that are easy to read
• Avoid reverse type- light letters on a dark background and avoid fonts that are too small or hard to read
