PEW Internet and American Life has a quick survey you can take about your online activities.
The Survey is at http://www.pewinternet.org/Participate/What-Are-You-Doing-Online.aspx
Do you use the Internet more for connecting to friends and family, for entertainment, for getting news, or for other purposes? Would you rather use email or IM? Do you tweet?
Has the Internet improved your life or does it give you more things to do?
Do you want to connect to the Internet when you are on vacation?
How do you feel about the Internet?

I have written a paper on the interconnections between the rhetorical traditions in classical rhetoric and New Media. Esseentially the traditional cannons of rhetoric- invention, organization, style, delivery and memory- still work in slightly different ways and using different terminology in New Media. Online Advertising is growing.
In 2006, all forms of online advertising expenditures reached $16 billion in the United States and $6 billion in Europe. Online advertising growth in the United States is forecast at 18-19 % and European growth is estimated at 25% per year (Stone, 2007
